Re: Phono Transfer System Construction Information

I'm starting with the Flat MM boards, then I'll do the RIAA switchers then the two MC boards. Once both sets are tested then I send one set to the low countries for a friend and I can start playing with my MM cartridges.

Re: Technology progresses

I am slow to buy into the theme that my old top loading washing machine was chewing up my clothes, but once again the significantly reduced amount of lint in my dryer lint trap suggests less wear and tear. This upgrade fixed something I didn't know was broken. JR Surely lint is f(drying time)...

Re: Technology progresses

Re: Technology progresses

Top loaders died out in UK with my grandmothers generation (she always used a twin tub). I have to say my experience of early 90s vintage american top loaders is that they just destroy clothes. But I still hang washing on a line!

Re: Technology progresses

It varies on steel prices. Last time I needed junkers removing they took them for free. Some years you'll get a few £, some you'll have to pay for removal.

Re: Technology progresses

I always feel guilty getting rid of things that work. I replaced the breadmaker about 6 year ago. The old one was fine, but given it had been given to me by wife 1 it was starting to get awkward using it after I got remarried. The replacement does make better bread, but has rusted badly inside. If I...
