Re: A Discussion About True Power Summing for Stereo Compressors

The only comp I can think of offhand with a weighting control is the Manley/Langevin ELOP.

Re: A Discussion About True Power Summing for Stereo Compressors

This thought directly modifies the existing DIY product that started this forum, which had a single side chain with one set of controls, RMS detector pin 5 joined and VCA pin 15 joined.

Re: A Discussion About True Power Summing for Stereo Compressors

Yeah Wayne, you got it. Ends up in mono in a mix. Both sources need compression that track each other to avoid changes in sonic texture, yet bleed in the mic is always a problem. Letting the DI be all of the side chain source is the easiest path, but some weighting control might really be the most i...

I envision leaving pins 15 EC+ connected to each other. 0% and 100% are obvious (pin 5 connected, or not), but 50% is not. Resistive isolation? Other? No go...

What is the current flavor of Freon used in new installs?
Mine is R-22 IIRC.
I needed R-22.

Re: Entropy

8 wireless lavalieres, frequently used in buildings with a lot of other wireless, so they all stay on all day to 'claim' the frequencies. Any unused sit on top of the wireless receiver rack. This week, any transmitter sitting on top of the receiver rack is muting audio from active transmitters on st...
