Re: Using the THAT1646 As A Transistor Pre-Driver/Headphone
I see.... I have this headphone amp already build in my mixer, so no modifications are possible...it's all done. So far it has been great with various headphones, definitely loud enough. Since I'm moving to a small apartment I think I have to revert to mixing on headphones instead of monitors, so I'...

Re: 4301...two scenario's
Thanks Roger! This 4301 allows for a very compact design ...for example, it holds the complete gssl signal path minus the side chain.. I was thinking about a very simple and compact design, more like a set and forget master bus compressor with set attack and release times, or maybe with dip switches...

4301...two scenario's
Ok, let's say we're building a VCA compressor using the 4301. One way of doing this is to use the on board op amps for the in and output section (a la gssl clone). This way most of the side chain is on another pcb. Pro is a very short signal path, con is no trimmed resistors (bad CMR performance com...

Sorry for stirring things up here with prodigy leftovers;-) Also, I'm not complaining here, just want to share my thoughts and maybe hear your opinions..I'm perfectly happy the way my ms encoder /decoder (with THAT ic's) is working. Reading my initial post I think I misunderstood something How about...
