Re: A Differential Deboo Integrator to Servo Mic and Low-Level Preamps

In the conventional configuration, you do not need any matching. The important point, then, is the leakage resistor of the capacitor. This resistor gives the DC gain that comes in the residual error. ( A perfect integrator gives a zero error, because it has infinite gain ). One can calculate the err...

Re: Entropy

Amazing. My new tenant moved in jully 1. I was called this morning jully 5 for a toilet flush not working right, the push button doesn't pop back anymore. Was working perfectly right on jully 1 and days before while I was there fixing stuff. Turned out, it was a broken plastic bit next to another on...

Re: Entropy

Accelerated entropy, slob tenants at a place I rent. I spent days repairing goodies left by previous tenants. Well hidden when they leave, of course. A stuck sliding window, a shot of W40 freed it, but was sliding poorly and jamming half way. I spent hours to understand, finally started a major diss...

Re: Entropy

I presume there are shapes inside that trap air. A design mistake or a convenience about something else. Centrifugal pumps I am well familiar with don't have such vent. They do need pipes, at the outlet side, without any air trapping shapes. That is a must for easy priming. At cold start there is al...

Re: Entropy

I used a 555 on a weird project. That was for a crack pot guy who was curing all sorts of diseases with pulsed magnetic fields. He was making coils of all sizes, for arms, legs heads, bellies even XXL for obese people. I visited his place, saw his winding machine and the equipment to pulse the coils...

Re: Entropy

it starts from pretty low, only a couple, inches from the impeller level. Looks like I have a like good spare sump pump. It is a low tech design using a 555 and a few discrete components. JR I am curious about sum pumps priming. Impeller....inches from under or above water level ? What is the 555 t...

Re: Gentle persuasion over time

I understand the relief when the last one is down.
I lived this at a place of mine and the place of a son.
One uses to keep the most difficult tree, last.
As you had, nobody hurt ( and a chain saw blade bent ).

Re: Gentle persuasion over time

The troubles with steering lines: Nylon lines are too stretchy to pull hard when the tree starts to fall following gravity. Steel lines are stiffer, but damn dangerous, if it breaks, the backlash is deadly. I know a way they use in Australia. They use a steering line that goes at a pulley at some lo...
