Re: Cohen/Transamp output stage
If you want to have some fun, do some null testing between your favorite preamps and each other or perhaps even the reference input with preamp wiring inverting. A null test won’t tell you anything about the dynamic behavior of the transformer. Without quantifying the dynamic behavior you get an in...

Re: Mid Side M-S Matrix Construction Information
You can do all three items. Let us know how the MS Barry Porter EQ works out. Thanks Wayne. Will do. I had the M/S board working in the two channel version I built but I was using all the sections. I thought it would be better to eliminate as much as possible. The sound before was good but maybe th...

Re: Mid Side M-S Matrix Construction Information
I am using the first generation M/S board as a Line Receiver and Line Driver as well as M/S matrix for my Barry Porter EQ build. It will be M/S only. The BP has a balanced line receiver feeding a unity gain non inverting opamp buffer feeding the summing amp in a SVF topology. The input impedance of ...

In the states where it’s legal there are brand names. It's morphing into a consumer product. You can get very high THC content these days.

Re: Which Audio Analyser?
BTW the Focusrite 2i2 will now run on certain iPads. Any USB 2.0 class compliant interface should work on an iPad. I could just use the Konnect2 into the iPad using the Audio Tools software but I don't like it as much as the Waveforms software that comes with the Analog Discovery 2. That and my GF ...

Re: Which Audio Analyser?
There is an OSX version of REW. I don’t think you should have to run Parallels.

Re: Which Audio Analyser?
After looking around for a long time I’ve decided on the Analog Discovery 2 along with a Native Instruments Konnect 2 with the Pete Milett interface box. Using the Waveforms software for both. The AD2 has high bandwidth but is only 14 bit. For low noise measurements I’d switch over to the audio inte...
