Yes, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. Are felicitations fattening?

Merry Christmas everyone.

It's obviously been awhile since I stumbled into the Peabody Lounge.

Everyone got their shopping done? I'm off for groceries but the rest is done.

It took me decades to train everybody to not expect christmas gifts from me... now as I'm older they can write that off to me being eccentric. I finished my christmas shopping in the '70s...

Merry Christmas all....

Lucky you.

Well, as our extended family grew it just got to be too much.
It took me a decade of pleading the extended family to draw names.
I was very unpopular.
Then it became my Mom's idea to draw names and it suddenly became "her" popular suggestion.
My Mom and Dad are gone now.
My name is still mud with the rest of the family however and will probably be mud for decades.
I'm cool with that.

Now we just celebrate with the immediate family - my wife, our two girls and their friends - and we have a lot more fun.
It's nice when your kids are old enough to have a drink with you.
