RIP Frances Lloyd

Relax in southern comfort on the east bank of the Mississippi. You're just around the corner from Beale Street and Sun Records. Watch the ducks, throw back a few and tell us what's on your mind.

This article made me curious about the reference standard she worked on. I found this at NIST: https://nvlpubs.nist.gov/nistpubs/sp958 ... 15-318.pdf

I've always thought NIST Boulder would be a very cool place to work. I've always been a WWV time/frequency standard geek.

Metrology is a cool interdisciplinary science. I've been kind of fascinated with it since I learned of its existence. Measuring things seems like it should be easy but it is anything but.
