From sand to silicon...
I found this very cool piece of art in my Grandmother's trunk.
My Aunt and Uncle were both early TI employees and this was in the April 1955 "texins" employee magazine they sent to her.
It reminds me of Salvador Dali.

Yes the lighting and shadows do recall Dali, but the parts need to also hang over the edge and bend at right angles.

Yeah, WOW. Very Dali but more "in the style of" than plagiarism. That must have cost some money and had an executive patron. Nowdays they'd just buy a Koons.

J. Erik Jonsson, who would later became Dallas' Mayor, was TI's CEO.
