Re: Starting point

1/CT = 1/470 + 1/47 or about 43pF OK, very good. Now why do you suppose that they would want a higher capacitance from the +/- inputs than either the + or - input to ground? From "tip to ring" (from telephony) it is 235 pF. From "tip" (or ring) to ground its 43 pF. (That would be with the other inp...

Re: 1646 in a Distribution Amp

Yeah 4X 1646 would be a little more than 1K load on the 5534. If you need more than 4X 1646 outputs use a 5532 and have the 5532 drive two sets.

Re: 1646 in a Distribution Amp

Thanks for joining us. I may have to give you some short answers since I'm under a bit of a deadline. 1) I would always feed a THAT1646 in that configuration directly from an op amp output. Any source impedance >100 ohm (and ideally <<100 ohm) will increase noise an decrease output balance. 2) I thi...

Re: Starting point

Yes, convert pF to Farad and then you will be within the right order of magnitude. In other words 470 pF = 470 * 10^-12th.

And the answer is?

Re: Starting point

lofi - In that circuit C1-C3 provide radio frequency "RFI" protection the effectiveness of which is something we can debate later. For more background take a look in your texts at RC circuits. While you might find some references to an RC circuit in terms of transient analysis the way you want to lo...

Question for producer4000

Chris - Being a Memphian you are the person to ask:

Are Gridley's and Rendevous still open? There was a special in the food section of the Dallas Morning News today about pulled pork barbecue. These two names came to mind. If the answer to either one is yes I'm planning the trip now.
