bruno2000: Sorry for the delay in responding.
What I'd like to know is what are the peak output levels, measured with an oscilloscope, under high SPL for really hot mics. What's the highest output/hotest mic you've encountered in a live setting?

Re: Oncor Smart Meter Billing Errors
Is the TX app reading the data over the power lines too? I don't see anything wrong with the technology, but there is incompetence all around us. The meters are an RF-based mesh network. I read in the public filings that it was Zigbee and the carrier power had to be increased from 25 to IIRC 450 mW...

Re: Oncor Smart Meter Billing Errors
Smart meters have been used in other parts of the country for a while... Residentially speaking, where? (US) PG&E's pilot project in Bakersfield has gone very, very badly. Oncor's problem is not anticipating human error and providing no meaningful corrective feedback for the work flow and busin...

Some Oncor customers are being charged with rates 2-4 times the average due to improper meter setup. Here's how an arrogant and dumb utility gets it wrong: http://www.defranchiseoncor.org Onc...

Re: Electronic Design IFD: Modified Schoeps Capsule Design
Worth looking at, not sure it's worth copying... I played around with phantom powered DI's that were far simpler, but I wan't trying to drive a long line with a lot of capacitance. Were you able to view the THD comparisons vs. Cload? The figures in the online version don't exactly jump off the page...

Thanks John.
It's not in the front section where most of the academic work normally resides but in the back portion I'm told. I haven't gotten my mail copy yet. We managed to get quite a number of pages.

And all I wanted to do was listen to radio stations in other cities in the pre-broadband era.

This is the later portion of the case remanded back to District Court on Appeal by Infinity.
