Re: Switch support/bezel - have you ever seen this part?

How many do you need...?

A small machine shop could make these but not inexpensively.

Re: Switch support/bezel - have you ever seen this part?

My guess also is it was a custom part. Helios just did 10 to 20 DI boxes using this switch Bezel, I doubt they would do a custom part just for a small number of units, and also just for a simple DI box. And if it was custom then Helios an UK company and Nagra a Swiss company, that had no connection...

Re: Banned from GDIY but still alive

Hey Joe, Thank s for contacting me and reminding me of this place. As you know I was suspicious of groupbuilder from the start - my thread of that same title was deleted. I have been a member here for ages but have rarely visited. Maybe I will now. Cheers Ian Just last week, one of my fans  a...

Re: Switch support/bezel - have you ever seen this part?

I second the suggestion to make a 3D printed version. Is not that easy: 1) I don't have an original part so I don't know the measurements, I could for sure create some measurements from the photos, but it will be always a compromise and a lot of time in Trial and Error How many do you need? The rou...

Re: Well, I got COVID and it sucked.

I am a fan of taking raw garlic (AKA Russian Penicillin) for its antibacterial capabilities at the first sign of sniffles.

Of course unlikely to thwart an engineered virus.

Be well...

I've never seen anything like this.... I second the suggestion to make a 3D printed version.

Re: Entropy

I searched the chinese company on the fan label (Zhongshan nanling electronic technology) and they apparently make induction cookers ? I give up trying to find an 18V fan... I just ordered a 24V dual ball bearing fan. They offer a cheaper version they call "oil bearing" which is probably a...

Re: Entropy

Well I took the POS apart and it was a PIA with mostly snap together plastic sides.. I got the motor unsnapped so I can read the label. It is a 12025 series (common size) 18V (uncommon voltage) DC brushless fan. So far no luck finding the same fan... closest is one 18v open frame fan, but no box fan...

Re: Entropy

my main room is sitting at 40% right now. The real dehumidifier running overnight doesn't grab much moisture. During warmer weather it could pull a quart or two each night. Sadly looking at my old order history I notice that I purchased a different small peltier dehumidifier back in 2015 that met a ...
