Re: too cheap to fix?

I finally killed the Denon multichanger in the kitchen. It had stopped loading CDs. I'd fixed it once before (stripped gear and a drive belt) so thought I'd have another go. This time found a wedged mechanism in the bit that pulls the trays back and shuffles them. Loosened that off put it back toget...

Re: got screens?

When desk space is limited I've used 4:3 as side monitors, but I like as many monitors as possible on my computer. I've been slumming it with 2 over lockdown and miss the 3rd. For a while I used a 1600 by 1200 21" sun monitor. it was huge but the picture was superb.

Re: Phono Transfer System Construction Information

By end of tomorrow my brownie points balance will be very positive so I'll cash those in for time to get things up and running and start testing things.

Re: Phono Transfer System Construction Information

Having to work from home with two under 5s has not been conducive to working on projects. Work has been particularly manic as well, which is a good thing in the grand scheme of things. If I can get the test cables I need finished final visual inspection of the soldering and I can start testing.

Re: too cheap to fix?

Well I did a fibreglass repair on a kiddy slide today. You can't buy the plastic parts seperate from the whole thing and I suspect compared to the last slide I had from the same company 20 years ago they've cost reduced the moulding to break after a few years! For my first ever fibreglassing it actu...

A smaller lighter LED version of what miners wear yet. Also used as extra light when cycling in the winter.

Re: too cheap to fix?

I bought a couple of 150W halogen pole lamps back to UK with me from USA. I used them well beyond their expected life time. I do miss the amount of light they put out...
