Wayne's Mic Pre photos (By Joe Neil aka Bruno2000)

Post by Bruno2000 »

Update May 11, 2018. We are saddened to learn of the recent passing of Joe Neil. This is an example of Joe's outstanding work. I'm honored to have known him. We will miss him. Wayne

Here are some photos of a couple of builds. This is Wayne's servo circuit, a HPF stolen from SSL, and a THAT output.
Everyone at the studios likes these. They are a "Wire with Gain" Very clean, very quiet, and are mostly used for voice recording (Audio Books, ADR, etc) but I've seen a couple of them migrate to the music rooms.
Front Panel Express did the panels. Their work is always great.

There are 6 of these

Here's the 12 channel unit.
I needed some inputs in the truck that would be used for the audience mics.

Agreed. Looks like a commercial product.

My boss needs something like that 12 Channel in his new room. ;)

Thanks guys! The case in its former life was a Cipher Digital Phantom unit that was salvaged with a dumpster dive.

As always with Joe, stunning finished units and he does his own PCB layouts to boot... what a guy!

I sure hope Joe's equipment continues to be used in a next chapter. He built so many cool pieces.
